Objective: The biobank of the Bashkir State Medical University is located on the basis of the University Clinic - it is a multidisciplinary medical institution of the federal level, where the three components of a medical university - education, science and medical work - are integrated for the benefit of maintaining the health of the population. The BSMU clinic has 755 beds of various profiles. The activity of Biobank BSMU is to collect, catalog and store biological samples and related clinical data. The collection of biological material is continuously replenished, blood and tissue samples of various nosologies - oncological, cardiovascular diseases and others, extensive research work is being carried out. During the spread of the new coronavirus infection (Covid-19) Biobank BSMU accumulates and systematizes the biological material of patients who have undergone this disease. Within the framework of this project, the features of the pathogenesis of coronavirus infection are studied, the mechanisms of the reaction of immune cells are studied, and the development and testing of means for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus infection.
