Objective: Princess Margaret Cancer Biobank (PCMB) is a multi-site, large-scaleâ€¯biorepository for human biospecimens and associated clinical data. PMCB offers retrospective and prospective study-specific banking tailored to research needs, including: study protocol development, biospecimen procurement and processing, long-short-term cryostorage and digitial pathology services such as Tissue Microarray (TMA) construction, quantitative image analysis of TMA sections, Laser Capture Microdissection (LCM), digital slide scanning, pathological/clinical analysis for various tumour sites and DNA/RNA extraction. PMCB provides access to retrospective sample collections such fresh, frozen and formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) surgically resected tissue, biopsy cores, compartmentalized blood components (serum, plasma, buffy coat, PBMC) and various body fluids (urine stool and saliva), along with pathology annotations that are banked in long-term storage for future research.

100 cases Next Generation Sequencing assay to detect all classes of genetic variant in Lung Cancer using a single Diagnostic test.
200 cases Colorectal TMA for QC purposes in support of study of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes in ovarian cancer tissues.
Build 300 cases breast cancer TMA containing primary tumour and matched metastatic LN for various subtypes (luminal, HER2, Triple negative). Start with Triple negatives.
125 cases Breast tumour and metastatic lymph nodes in breast cancer cases with outcomes of metastasis to lung or bone.
100 cases of rare tumours - fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma. FFPE, frozen, BC.
200 cases of FFPE tissue sections from breast, lung adenocarcinoma, and lung squamous cell carcinoma with matching normal tissue (only pathology data requested).
